I get asked all the time, "how do I suppress all the negative publicity I'm getting?"  The easy answer is profile pages.  LinkedIn.com, merchant circle, fast pitch networking, sites like this all provide profile pages that usually get indexed pretty quickly.  I also recommend that you launch a personal blog under your personal domain name, so when people look you up (Google you), they find that as the number on indexed position, then use labels (categories), that are they keywords that people are finding the negative info.
